An epic seasonal contest for comedy! For glory! Oh yeah… and for a big ol’ wad of CASH!!!

In this competition, comedians will choose not just to compete, but to compete in the STYLE of comedy they feel strongest in! Are you a clean comic? Play a hilarious guitar? Maybe you destroy with the college crowds… Well, prove it!

Each week for 10 weeks, up to 20 comedians will compete with their best 5-minute set… and 2 will walk away with a weekly cash prize of $100 and an invitation to the Seasonal Championships. That’s right – TWO comics win each night: One chosen by the judges AND one chosen by audience vote!

Comics will be allowed to choose which category they wish to compete in, with each week highlighting a different comedy genre or demographic. In the Championship Week, the weekly winners all go head-to-head for the jackpot: a whopping cash prize of $2,000 – winner take all! Each season’s winner will also be immortalized on the 4C Trophy, which will be on display permanently at The Comedy Chateau!

FAQs

How does the voting work? In the preliminary rounds, comics are eligible for two different titles: the “Judges’ Pick” and the “Audience Pick”. Industry judges each night will select their favorite comedian; meanwhile, audience members will be given a ballot on which they will vote for their favorite 3 comedians of the night; top vote-getter wins! In the Championship week, points will be awarded for the top judges’ rankings and the top audience vote-getters, weighted 50% each, with the comic who receives the top overall points being declared the winner.

Who are the judges? The industry judges will be a mix of club owners and bookers, as well as veteran headliners who are not involved in the competition.

Can I enter more than once? Yes! You may enter as many different categories as you like (space permitting), but must pay a separate entry fee for each one. If you win an earlier preliminary round, you will be given the option of either getting a refund for your remaining entries (and those spots will be reopened to other comedians), or keeping the remaining spots to perform in, but not being eligible to win those additional nights. You may also choose to wait to enter additional categories until after your first performance, but be aware – there’s a limit of no more than 20 comedians on any given night, and once the spaces are gone, they’re gone! (If this entry form says “Sold Out” – this category has been filled! Sorry!)

Are the categories the same each season? Nope! Each season, we’ll shake things up by moving categories around, removing a few and keeping some perennial favorites while throwing in a few new wrinkles too! No two seasons are alike!
